The Golden light of trees

Updated: Jun 20, 2021

As an ode to fathers day. My father shared this wisdom with me as a young man;

"Nature has been for me, for as long as I remember, a source of solace, appreciation, adventure and delight; a home, a teacher, a companion.....

my quiet place with God."

With love Dad...June 2004

I have held onto this note throughout my life and it has been a reminder through many stages of life, both in the joyous times and the hard times.

I hope that everyone has a place and a time in which they have and do go into the trees for solace, for peace and for reflection. Lay in the shade of the trees and look up thru the leaves and needles and notice the warmth of the golden light as it shines thru. Listen to the rustle of the leaves. Be at peace.

These trees can share the same joys in your home. Enjoy the warmth of light of an oil rubbed table in your dining room. Run your hands along its smooth, warm surface.

This end table came from an elm tree that was salvaged from Whitefish Depot park. Many of you might remember Depot Park when it had a pond! This tree was on the library side and has been drying in my yard and then shop until this spring when its warm golden glow was brought into new form. This end table is available now to grace your home with that same warmth and peace it once gave to those who enjoyed it's shade and company in the park!
