This past week I have been milling some great big cottonwood slabs. The electric company is working to remove dangerous trees near lines. This particular cottonwood was planted nearly 80 years ago and was part of a private drive to a farmstead. It has since become a beautiful shade providing tree in a backyard. Unfortunately much of the base was hollow and dying. Now it will grace homes as a beautiful piece of custom furniture! I am so excited to see what they will become once dried!
